GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

  • Education of the child is the responsibility of both School and the parents. Home is the first school of the child where he/she learns to build the foundation on which this whole life stands. School can only influence the personality of the child with the help and co operation of parents.
  • Your children are at the school for about six hours only on school days. You must see what they do during the remaining hours of the day and during the holidays.
  • Parents should respect the rules and regulations made for the good of students.         
  • Parents are requested to send their children to school regularly if no serious reason exists for their absence.    
  • Parents should plan their out station programmers and excursion trips according to the school calendar to avoid any undue leave for their ward.
  •  Parents must spare time for their children and impart good moral values to their children.
  • See that your children keep all the books, copies, pencil, pen etc. in their bags and exercise books must be nearly covered with white transparent sheet with name slip/school note book covers.       
  • For PG to UKG students all articles (such as pencil box, water bottle, Tie etc) bear your ward’s name, class etc. with permanent marker.                 
  • Avoid giving too much pocket money to your children.
  •  Attendance on Republic Day, Independence Day, Scouting Camps or specified functions is compulsory. Students remaining absent on such days will be fined Rs. 100/- a day. *
  • Student must reach school in time Habitual late comers will be sent back home.         
  • Students must attend school in the prescribed uniform. Since the uniform is motioned in the diary well in advance, no excuse will be tolerated on this account.
  •  It is parent’s duty to see that children come to school in proper hair cut.
  • The school has no responsibility whatsoever for loss of life, accident or injury to a student while travelling to and from the school, during school organized activity and adventure programme or in the school campus.
  • Any damage done in or about the school premises must be made good by the parents of the child responsible.  
  • The school does not accept responsibility for books, money and other articles that are lost. Children must take care of  their things.
  • Parents are advised not to permit their wards to go for outings with school mates.
  • Whatever things are prohibited in the school, parents must ensure that they are not provided to the children at home, electronic gadgets, camera, mobiles are strictly banned in the school, if caught will not be returned, even to the parents. No excuse will be heard in the case.
  • Whenever parents are called to the school, for-parent teacher meets or otherwise they must make all efforts to attend, otherwise they cannot meet all the teachers at a time.
  • Students appearing for board exams will not be granted leave in any case accept illness (on producing medical certificate). Students not showing satisfactory results in preliminary tests and not fulfilling the attendance criterion of 85% can be restrained from sitting for the board exams.
  • For board classes, the extra classes are conducted during vacations. Parents should make sure that their wards must attend these classes. The attendance to these classes will also be included in the attendance.
  • As per directives, up to Class 8th, there will be continuous comprehensive evaluation for which monthly tests will be taken instead of unit exams. Parents can appraise the performance of the children on the Parents Teachers Meet.
  • If a student is absent during the exams. Hershel will be marked absent. No separate exams will be held exclusively for his/her sake.
  •  Success of your children in examinations depends on the combined efforts of the parents and the teachers.    
  • Only the parents may see and meet the concerned teachers and Principal. No other person should be permitted to contact them in regard to their ward.
  • In case of urgency parents can meet the teachers and Principal on every Saturday from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
  • Parents must give the correct number of their mobile and Land line nos. so that any emergent message can be sent on parent’s mobile/ landline. In case there is any change they must inform the school.
  • In case of leave parents must send application only signed by them.
  • Regular six days absence of your children, without informing the school authority may be a cause of dismissal of your children from school and re admission fee will be charged. In case the leave is urgent and more than 2 days parents must come personally and explain the reason to the principal.
  •  It is the responsibility of the parents and guardians to check that their ward is attending school regularly, they should not expect that the school authorities will inform them about their ward’s absence or what they do outside the school.
  • Even pen drives, CDs, magazines and books other than those not required in the school should not brought to the school.
  • Once a student attends the school he/she will not be allowed any sort of leave. In cases of emergent of the child must be escorted home by the parent with the written permission of the principal.
  • Don’t send your ward to school when they are suffering from any infectious disease.
  • We expect from you to read School Diary of your children daily and follow the instructions given in that.
  • Address all your request, complaints or suggestions to the Principal.
  • Without your co-operation we can’t assure your children educational and personality development.
