Guidelines For Parents

Education of a child is a shared responsibility of both the school and the parents. Home is the first school where a child builds the foundation of life. The school can effectively shape the child’s personality only with the cooperation and support of parents.

General Responsibilities

  • Children spend only about six hours a day at school. Parents must supervise their activities during the remaining hours, including holidays.
  • Parents should respect and strictly follow all school rules and regulations made for the welfare of students.
  • Parents must spare time for their children and inculcate good moral values.

Attendance & Punctuality

  • Parents are requested to send their children to school regularly unless there is a serious reason for absence.
  • Outstation programmes and excursions should be planned according to the school calendar.
  • Students must reach school on time. Habitual latecomers will be sent back home.
  • Continuous absence of six days without prior information may lead to dismissal. Re-admission fees will be charged.
  • Leave applications must be signed by parents only.
  • No short leave or half-day leave is permitted.
  • Once a student attends school, no leave will be granted except in emergencies, and the child must be escorted home by a parent with written permission from the Principal.

Uniform & Appearance

  • Students must attend school in the prescribed uniform. No excuse will be accepted.
  • Parents must ensure proper haircut and neat appearance of their ward.
  • Students should carry all required books, notebooks, pens, pencils, etc.
  • Exercise books must be properly covered with a white transparent sheet and name slip.
  • For PG to UKG students, all belongings (water bottle, pencil box, tie, etc.) must be labelled with the child’s name and class.

Discipline & Safety

  • Attendance on Republic Day, Independence Day, Scouting Camps, and specified school functions is compulsory. Absence on such days will be fined ₹100 per day.
  • The school is not responsible for any accident, injury, or loss of life during travel, school activities, or adventure programmes.
  • Any damage to school property must be compensated by the parents.
  • The school is not responsible for loss of books, money, or other belongings.
  • Parents should not allow their wards to go on outings with schoolmates without permission.
  • Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, cameras, pen drives, CDs, magazines, and non-prescribed books are strictly prohibited. If found, they will not be returned.
  • Do not send children to school if they are suffering from any infectious disease.

Examinations & Academics

  • Students absent during examinations will be marked absent. No re-examination will be conducted.
  • Students appearing for board exams will not be granted leave except in case of illness (medical certificate required).
  • Students failing to secure satisfactory results in preliminary exams or not meeting the 85% attendance requirement may be detained from appearing in board exams.
  • Extra classes for board classes are conducted during vacations, and attendance is compulsory.
  • Up to Class VIII, Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) will be followed with monthly tests instead of unit exams.
  • Parents should ensure that their child completes all missed work after any absence.

Parent-Teacher Interaction

  • Parents must attend Parent-Teacher Meetings whenever called.
  • Only parents are permitted to meet teachers and the Principal regarding their ward.
  • All complaints, suggestions, or requests must be addressed to the Principal.
  • Parents are expected to read and countersign the school diary daily.
  • The Parent should visit the school on the day fixed by the school to be in touch with the teachers even when there is no problem with their children.
  • Parents are not expected to enter the school premises or class rooms during the school hours.
  • The parents are not allowed to meet teachers during the school hours as the study of the entire class is suffered thereby. They can see the teachers before or after the school hours or in the recess.
  • In special cases, they can meet the teachers by taking an appointment with in prior permission of the Principal between 10 AM to 12 PM.
  • The Parents may see the Principal on working days as per the instructions of the school authorities.
  • Instructions are as follows:
  • To meet Principal. (11.00 am to 12.30 pm-All working days.)
  • To Meet Manager. (Take Prior Appointment 8395824635)
  • To Meet Teachers (1.00 PM to 2.00 PM Saturday Only.)
Note: To meet Principal for work other than work related to students take prior appointment (8395824634)

Health & Well-being

  • Parents must inform the school about any medical condition, allergy, surgery, or ongoing medication.
  • Prompt follow-up of medical reports sent by the school is essential.
  • Ensure that the child maintains personal hygiene, sleeps for at least 8 hours daily, follows a nutritious diet, and avoids roadside food.

Communication

  • Parents must provide correct and updated mobile and landline numbers.
  • Any change in address or contact number must be informed immediately.
  • Parents should not expect the school to inform them about their child’s absence.
